DESCRIPTION:Abundant Hope Therapy is pleased to offer: Not Just in Their Head: Befriending Anger: the Connection Between the Uterus\, Liver and Hormones \nThe presenter will utilize lectures\, discussions\, videos\, and case studies to support the learning objectives and facilitate learning. \nThis 3-hour continuing education program is designed for licensed professional counselors and mental health clinicians seeking to deepen their understanding of the relationship between emotional processes\, organ systems\, and hormonal regulation—specifically focusing on the liver\, anger responses\, and uterine/hormonal health. \nDrawing from psychophysiology\, somatic psychology\, trauma-informed care\, and integrative health frameworks\, this training explores how dysregulation in emotional processing (particularly anger) can manifest physiologically and influence liver function\, hormonal balance\, and reproductive health. \nParticipants will learn practical\, evidence-informed interventions to support emotional processing\, nervous system regulation\, and embodied awareness in clients. The program emphasizes accessible clinical tools\, client-friendly language\, and ethically grounded integration of mind-body approaches. \nLearning Objectives: \nIdentify the physiological functions of the liver and its role in stress response and detoxification. \nExplain the relationship between anger\, emotional suppression\, and physiological dysregulation. \nDescribe the connection between chronic stress\, hormonal imbalance\, and uterine health. \nRecognize somatic presentations of emotional dysregulation related to liver and hormonal systems. \nApply at least three somatic or cognitive interventions to support emotional processing and regulation. \nIntegrate trauma-informed\, body-based awareness techniques into clinical practice ethically and effectively. \nUtilize simple client reminders and practices to foster ongoing mind-body connection. \nCost: \n$60 for Pre-Licensed & Student Therapists \n$80 Early Bird (before 7/15/26) \n$90 Regular Rate (after 7/15/26) \nEmail for group rates for 3+ \n3.5% fee will be reflected in total cost below \nTime \n9a-12:15p CST \nVenue and Parking: 53 Century Blvd\, Nashville Parking on site. \nAbout the Presenter: Holli Ellis\, LPC-MHSP has lived and worked in the Nashville\, TN\, area for 10 years. Through her practice Befriending Our Bodies\, Holli is committed to helping all individuals ease their nervous systems. Holli is mindful of the oppression faced by BIPOC\, LGBTQ+\, and people in larger bodies and works to dismantle these barriers. In addition to individual therapy\, Holli incorporates yoga\, Reiki\, and bodywork into her practice.

Additionally\, Katie has used EMDR in her work for over 10 years to aid in her therapeutic approach. She also serves as an approved clinical supervisor in Tennessee.
