DESCRIPTION:Abundant Hope Therapy Presents: The Missing Welcome Home: Navigating the Complexities of Pet Bereavement \nThe presenter will utilize lectures\, discussions\, videos\, and case studies to support the learning objectives and facilitate learning. \nThe silence of a home after the loss of a companion animal introduces a unique\, profound form of grief that is often misunderstood or minimized. This clinical training equips mental health professionals with trauma-informed\, evidence-based approaches to supporting clients through pet bereavement. Participants will explore disenfranchised grief\, attachment\, disrupted daily rituals\, and the emotional impact of an “empty welcome home”. This experiential\, lecture style training also addresses assessment\, intervention\, countertransference\, and clinician self-care\, leaving attendees with practical tools to confidently support clients experiencing companion animal loss. \nDate and Time: 9/12/26\, 8a-12p \nLearning Objectives: \n1. By the conclusion of this training\, participants will be able to: \n2. Differentiate between acute\, anticipatory\, and disenfranchised grief as they uniquely manifest in clients experiencing companion animal loss. \n3. Identify common clinical triggers tied to daily routine transitions\, including the “missing welcome home”. \n4. Analyze personal clinician responses\, countertransference\, and the risk of compassion fatigue when working with bereaved pet owners. \n5. Apply at least three evidence-based interventions to help clients restructure disrupted daily rhythms and process pet-related trauma. \nCost: \n$100 early bird rate (before 8/1/26) \n$125 regular rate (after 6/15/26) \n$75 for students/pre-licensed \nEmail for group rates for 3+ people \n3.5% fee will be reflected in total price below
