Last year was my first year providing clinical supervision through my organization. It just happened to be during COVID so things were changing due to the laws changing. I am having a hard time finding the latest regarding 1) supervision 2) telehealth for non-licensed.
1) Can supervision be conducted via zoom and if so do supervisees need to register as before?
2) Can my supervisees provide telehealth services?
Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
Greetings Candace
Based on the Summary of TN LPC Board meeting held on June 4, 2021, it stated:
Telehealth legislation review:
The Board reviewed the new telehealth legislation and determined that telehealth supervision is now permitted under the new law. Therefore, no prior approval for distance supervision from the Board is required.
It was also announced that no form and/or request is required for telehealth to be conducted with clients. Previously, students and pre-licensed post-graduates were required to complete a form as instructed in the most recent executive order, which is now expired.
I hope this helps.
Hey Willette look at you.
