CADAS is looking for training on Certification as a Trauma Informed Counselor. This is a topic that can be very beneficial for the counselors to understand. We would like to bring a training to our facility that will educate and inform the staff on trauma counseling, as well as, give the opportunity for certification in that area. Does anyone do this or can point me in the right direction?

Abby Wallace from the Transformation Center in Chattanooga would be a good perso to lead training.
If she has time for it, Becca Davis in Chattanooga has been a leader in trauma and addiction treatment in both residential and outpatient settings. She has presented at national conferences and as Director of Residential staff in a trauma treatment center, she created the most trauma informed and skilled direct care staff I’ve ever seen. Again, if she has time, it would probably be good to have her do a series and just create a certificate around that.
