Hello, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Chelsea Alexander, and I am a doctoral candidate at Trevecca Nazarene University. I am seeking participants for my dissertation research study to fulfill my doctoral education degree requirement. The research is examining the experiences of the classroom environment of BIPOC counselors-in-training. This study has been reviewed and approved by Trevecca Nazarene University Institutional Review Board (IRB) #1224 to ensure the protection of participants’ rights and confidentiality.
The study findings may yield valuable implications and a deeper understanding of the classroom environment as BIPOC counselors-in-training perceive it, in various graduate-level counseling institutions. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a Master of Counseling program, identify within the BIPOC racial/ethnic identity, be at least 18 years of age, and must have completed 100 hours of clinical field experience (practicum and or internship). Data will be analyzed and presented in the aggregate that all individual responses will be kept confidential.
Should you have any questions/concerns about your rights as a research participant, please contact TNU’s Institutional Review Board at irb@trevecca.edu and Chelsea Alexander, Doctoral Candidate cdalexander@trevecca.edu and my advisor Susan Lahey SLahey@trevecca.edu
