EmPATH units, a concept developed by Scott Zeller, M.D., present an alternative to the Emergency Department for patients experiencing mental health crises, and they offer a more acute level of care than a Crisis Walk-in Center or Crisis Stabilization Unit.
Candace Allen, Clinical VP for McNabb Center, will present on the success of its EmPATH unit a year after its establishment. She will also be available to answer questions about this newer concept in emergency mental health care.
