What is the process for becoming a Continuing Education Provider for LPC’s in the State of Tennessee? Currently, I work at a university and would like to be able to provide CE’s for the Suicide Prevention training that I am doing for staff.

Hello! I would be happy to speak with you about this. Info@thetriadofhealing.com
The best thing to do is to follow the NBCC guidelines in their CE provider application: https://www.nbcc.org/resources/ceproviders/apply You will have to get approved first (both you personally as well as your topic. The biggest barrier to entry is that you have to get experience by providing your presentation and gathering proof that it’s a quality presentation and is CE worthy, but you can’t provide CE without it. So it becomes a bit of a catch 22 where you can’t provide CE until you get experience but you can’t get experience really because who will want to attend a CE seminar if you can’t offer them CEUs. The best option would be to present for an organization while you’re in the experience and application process, then once you’re approved, you can branch out on your own.
