Greetings TLPCA members! My name is Maggie Salisbury. I am eligible for pre-LPC-MHSP and looking for a state-approved LPC-MHSP Supervisor. I completed my graduate studies in 2023 and relocated to Tennessee in 2024. I am seeking an LPC-MHSP license, and I need a supervisor.
I need to work 20 hours at the same site as the supervisor, as per the Board’s requirements for approved LPC supervision. I currently work part-time at Talk Dr. Christian Counseling in Downtown Franklin, but the clinical director of this private practice does not meet the requirements for LPC supervision.

Welcome to TN!
You do not need to work at the same site as your LPC supervisor. You just need to make sure that the site you are at meets requirements for a clinical site, i.e. has a licensed provider on site a minimum of 20 hours/week. That licensed person does not have to be your LPC supervisor.
