We are seeking a motivated Virtual Mental Health Intern who is committed to serving diverse populations and developing strong clinical skills within a supportive, growth-focused environment.
Position Overview
The Virtual Mental Health Intern will provide tele-health counseling services under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This role is ideal for graduate students in counseling, or related fields who are seeking hands-on clinical experience, structured supervision, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct virtual individual therapy sessions with 15 clients weekly (based on internship requirements and availability).
Collaborate with supervisors to develop effective treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, trauma-informed care, or other modalities aligned with your training.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation within our secure EHR system.
Participate in weekly clinical supervision and team meetings.
Demonstrate ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, and a client-focused approach in all interactions.
Requirements
Enrollment in a master’s or doctoral-level mental health program (Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, etc.).
Ability to work virtually with reliable internet and a confidential space.
NPI number and professional liability insurance (minimum 1,000,000/3,000,000) prior to client contact.
Strong communication skills, empathy, and commitment to client wellness.
Willingness to receive supervision and integrate feedback.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $21.60 per hour
