ACPE’s SIP training is designed pre-licensed and fully licensed therapists who are interested in meaningful and ethical integration of spirituality into clinical practice. A participant can take Level I without taking Level II, but Level I is a prerequisite for Level II. Level I includes: Foundations and Ethics of Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy, Developing Spiritual Conversations in Psychotherapy, Spiritual Assessment, Spiritual Interventions: Working with Spiritual Resources, and Spiritual Interventions: Working with Spiritual Struggles. Level II includes: Working with Spiritual Resources, Working with Harmful Spirituality and Religion, Spirituality and Belief System of the Therapist, Spiritually Integrated Case Conceptualization, and Spiritually Integrated Case Conceptualization. Those who complete both levels may be eligible to seek certification with ACPE as a Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapist.
