CMHC Student Seeking Practicum Placement (Maury County & Surrounding Areas)

Hello everyone,
My name is Amanda, and I am currently a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Southern Arkansas University. I am preparing to begin my practicum and am actively seeking a placement site in Maury County or the surrounding areas.
I am especially interested in trauma-informed care, maternal mental health, family systems, and integrative approaches. My goal is to continue developing foundational clinical skills in assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, documentation, and building strong therapeutic relationships under supportive supervision.
Practicum Requirements:
100 total hours during the semester
Minimum of 40 direct client contact hours
One hour per week of individual supervision with a qualified site supervisor
Site supervisor must hold a master’s degree in counseling (or a related field) and appropriate licensure
Opportunity to engage in counseling sessions, documentation, and case conceptualization
Ability to audio/video record sessions (or participate in live supervision) in accordance with site policy
Completion of a site agreement between the agency and Southern Arkansas University
