I’m excited to share that Module 3 of my Complex Bodies, Complex Care CE series is coming up on July 3rd: “Complex Needs, Practical Care – Somatic and Experiential Interventions for Chronic Pain and Illness”. I wanted to reach out to this community specifically because I’m so excited for it!!
This module is built differently. Instead of sitting through a lecture and then practicing at the end, the entire day is experiential… you’ll be DOING within the first few minutes of the training. We spend the day going through a case, working through different issues and practicing different skills.
We cover:
— Somatic and nervous system-based interventions adapted for chronic pain and illness
— Fear-avoidance, catastrophizing, and activity pacing (with clear scope-of-practice guardrails)
— Parts-based and experiential approaches including the 8 Cs as client-facing language
— How to modify when a client arrives in a crash, in a flare, or outside their window
— Building a flexible, individualized intervention plan for a complex chronic illness client
This is a hybrid training too! You can join in-person in the Donelson area or via Zoom. 5 CE hours, NBCC ACEP approved (# 7477).
