Supervision requires recognition of the different developmental levels in which students and new professionals exist. Reviewing Stoltenberg et al.’s (2010) Integrated Developmental Model (IDM), the presenters will discuss conceptualizing supervisees’ development and provide practical strategies for fostering supervisees’ growth.
Objectives:
- Understand the Integrated Developmental Model as it relates to working with counseling students and new professionals
- Explore best practices for assessing developmental levels using the Integrated Developmental Model
- Apply development-oriented supervision interventions.
