Directions
This course aims to offer a contemporary and thorough understanding of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), especially in adults, considering the recent surge in research and increased diagnoses. It emphasizes the importance of prioritizing ADHD in diagnosis and treatment and presents an improved treatment model based on extremely successful outcomes experienced by the presenter.
- Participants in this course will become familiar with cutting-edge research that deepens our understanding of the neurological foundations of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) including the intriguing connections between ADHD and other conditions such as OCD and Autism.
- Participants in this course will be able to describe at least two significant dangers of untreated ADHD.
- Participants in this course will enhance their ability to recognize and diagnose ADHD in adults, particularly those who may have been misdiagnosed, underdiagnosed, or inadequately treated.
- By the end of the course, participants will be able to articulate a potentially more effective treatment approach that addresses the challenges and complexities of ADHD.
About the Speaker(s)
Cinda Gee, LPC/MHSP
As a veteran with over 23 years of service in the United States Air Force, Cinda Gee gained extensive training and experience in leadership, management, and business. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Avionics Systems Technology, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. Cinda has been a psychotherapist for 16 years, first serving 12 years as a therapist and clinical program manager for a 19-county victims’ service agency, specializing in working with victims of domestic and sexual violence. Subsequently, in private practice, Cinda has passionately worked with adults suffering from PTSD and C-PTSD, including survivors of childhood abuse, adult violence, veterans, first responders, medical personnel, life-threatening illnesses, and religious trauma. Her expertise extends to individuals struggling with dissociation/DID, narcissism, Adult ADHD, High Functioning Autism, OCD, Bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, anger, profound grief, divorce, family issues, depression, anxiety, job issues, and other life challenges. As a survivor of severe childhood abuse herself, she firmly believes in the possibility of healing and is committed to helping individuals find the support they need.
