Mental health clinicians are trained to attune to the distress of others, often at a cost to their own capacity for regulation and rest. Over time, this imbalance can quietly erode a clinician’s wellbeing if it is left unexamined. This training introduces the 5 Bs Framework, Breath, Boundaries, Belonging, Balance, and Belief, as a structured and practical approach to sustaining a healthy clinical practice. Participants will examine the signs of burnout as they show up in day to day clinical work, explore how each of the five domains applies to their own practice, and leave with a personalized plan for returning, again and again, to a sustainable way of working.
Objectives:
- Participants will identify the five domains of the 5 Bs Framework and describe how each domain applies to clinical practice.
- Participants will recognize early indicators of burnout and nervous system dysregulation in themselves and in the course of their clinical work.
- Participants will develop a personalized, sustainable self-care plan, grounded in the 5 Bs Framework, that supports their long-term practice as a clinician.
