Trauma produces distress on the human brain that many may challenge the traumatized individual. The brain contains an enormous capacity to be rewired and restored to a healthy state when exposed to effective treatment. This presentation will provide participants a functional understanding of trauma; will show how trauma becomes stored in the brain; and will offer effective treatment options for clients searching for healing.

About the Speakers
Michael Christian, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Counseling Program at Trevecca Nazarene University. Michael is also in practice practice with offices in Brentwood, Mt. Juliet and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Lisa Long is a master’s level counseling intern trained in EMDR and is a member of Theta Nu Upsilon at Trevecca Nazarene University. In addition, Lisa is an ordained pastor with 27 years of pastoral counseling experience.
