This interactive workshop explores the concept of implicit bias and the ways unconscious attitudes, beliefs, and stereotypes can influence perceptions, decision-making, and behaviors. Participants will examine how implicit bias may be displayed in everyday interactions and professional settings, while identifying factors that can contribute to unconscious assumptions. Through discussion, reflection, and practical strategies, participants will learn techniques to recognize and reduce the influence of implicit bias, promoting greater self-awareness, fairness, and more objective decision-making in both their personal and professional lives.
Objectives:
- Defining implicit bias and explain how unconscious attitudes and stereotypes can influence perceptions, decisions, and behaviors.
- Displays and impact of implicit bias and identify factors that may contribute to unconscious assumptions.
- Identify strategies to reduce the influence of implicit bias in everyday and professional settings.
