About the Speaker(s)
Melody Mercer, M.MFT, LPC/MHSP(S)
Melody is an Alabama-native, but considers herself a local Middle Tennessean since she has been in the area for over twenty years. She has a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. Melody was granted her Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider license in 2007 and has an additional designation of Board-Approved Supervisor. She has clinical experience in a variety of settings including community mental health, clinical private practice, behavioral health utilization management, and other non-profit social services agencies. Melody currently works as a clinical supervisor for STARS Nashville, helping soon-to-be licensed clinicians meet the criteria for licensure as LPC/MHSP. Additionally, she also provides direct clinical therapy services to women who are journeying down the unwanted path of infertility. Outside of work, Melody enjoys traveling with her spouse and son, listening to true crime podcasts, attending live comedy shows, dancing in her Zumba class, and playing games (Mahjong, anyone?) with her extended family.
