The Tennessee Diversion Coalition is excited to welcome Dr. Scott Zeller, the creator of the EmPATH unit, at its next quarterly meeting. The EmPATH (Emergency, Psychiatric, Assessment, Treatment and Healing) model is sweeping the nation as an advancement in emergency mental health care. It provides an alternative to the traditional noisy, hectic emergency room by offering a calming, more therapeutic environment that is equipped to stabilize patients experiencing mental health crises, even the more acute crises.
