MTSU Counseling Services is seeking a TN-licensed mental health provider to work about 25 hours weekly (days/hours are flexible) at the University Counseling Center. Students are being seen in-person with masks required. MTSU has a mandatory mask policy inside all university buildings. The job consists of providing short-term counseling (about six sessions) to MTSU students using solution-focused, brief counseling treatment interventions. Students are screened by an in-house screener for level of care, and those whose presenting issue can likely be addressed by our brief counseling model, will be assigned to in-house counselors. If during the short-term counseling process, the student would benefit from continued care, the counselor will assist with the referral process to community providers.
