Hello everyone, I am in the middle of my internship to finish my masters in clinical mental health counseling. I found out last night that my internship site is closing at the end of this month. I am in desperate need of a new clinical site that could take interns in asap! If you have any suggestions of clinical sites (remote, hybrid, in person), please let me know at your soonest. I am in the Clarksville area. There are a few of us that will be affected and we’re all panicking. We are still waiting to hear what the plan is for interns, but I’d rather be prepared and not wait. Have you tried your local community mental health facilities? They tend to be short staffed often. Also see if the Veterans Administration and health departments are in need of clinicians. Hope this helps.
While I was working at Centerstone in Columbia I seen them have interns work both in clinic an have them do remote, so it may be worth contacting the Clarksville clinic.
The organization I work for (Nashville Collaborative Counseling Center) regularly accepts interns, and while the site shows they have paused currently, it might be worth reaching out through the contact us portion of the site to inquire if an exception could be made. I will ask our intern coordinator if there is an option on this side of things as well. I had a similar thing happen when I was in grad school – you have my empathy! Hybrid and/or telehealth is an option at 2 locations.

Thank you everyone who has commented so far! I have reached out to quite a few of the local facilities and was told they either do not take interns or do not have any intern positions. I reached out to the individuals/facilities that have been mentioned in the comments as well and look forward to hearing back.
