Barefoot Republic Counseling & Coaching is seeking an independently licensed Tennessee therapist to join our growing, Christ-centered nonprofit counseling practice.
We offer clinicians the independence and earning potential of private practice while providing much of the infrastructure, community, and mission of an established nonprofit.
This opportunity may be especially attractive to a clinician who has begun developing a small caseload or referral network and wants to grow without taking on office rent, EHR costs, utilities, marketing, and other expenses associated with operating a solo practice.
Consistent after-school and early-evening availability at least two days per week is important for this opportunity.

We serve children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from a wide range of backgrounds and financial circumstances. Trauma-informed care is foundational to our clinical identity, with attention to the impact of trauma, attachment, relationships, family systems, and life experiences on emotional and relational health.
As a growing nonprofit counseling and coaching practice, we are also developing groups, retreats, workshops, internship opportunities, and community-based mental health programming.

Who We Are Looking For
Applicants must hold an active, unrestricted Tennessee license permitting independent clinical practice, such as LPC-MHSP, LMFT, or LCSW.
Our ideal clinician:
* Enjoys working with a broad population, with particular interest in children, adolescents, and families
* Can offer consistent after-school/early-evening availability at least two days per week
* Practices from a trauma-informed perspective
* Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, ethics, documentation, and communication
* Values culturally responsive care and serving individuals and families from diverse backgrounds
* Is comfortable working within the mission and values of a Christ-centered nonprofit organization
* Values collaboration while also being comfortable practicing independently
* Is flexible and excited about joining a growing and evolving practice
* Wants to develop a sustainable caseload over time
An existing small caseload or referral network is a plus, but not required. This opportunity could be particularly well suited for a clinician interested in appropriately transitioning some existing clients while continuing to grow through Barefoot Republic referrals.
Additional Strengths We Value
We would be especially interested in applicants with experience or training in one or more of the following:
* EMDR
* Brainspotting
* Other evidence-based or trauma-focused modalities
* Child and adolescent therapy
* Family systems or couples work
* Bilingual clinical services, particularly English/Spanish
* Experience serving multicultural and historically underserved communities
* Group therapy or experiential programming
* An established professional referral network
These are valued strengths—not requirements. We welcome independently licensed clinicians with a variety of professional backgrounds and specialties.
Compensation & Contractor Relationship
This is a part-time 1099 independent contractor opportunity with a flexible caseload.
The clinician receives 60% of collected professional revenue. Barefoot Republic retains 40% to support furnished clinical space, EHR access, Wi-Fi and utilities, general supplies, administrative infrastructure, marketing, referrals, and other practice resources.
This is NOT a salaried position and does not guarantee a particular caseload, number of referrals, or level of income. Clinicians maintain the independence appropriate to an independent contractor relationship while practicing within applicable clinical, ethical, legal, and organizational requirements.
For the right clinician, this is an opportunity to enjoy much of the autonomy and earning potential of private practice without having to build and fund all of the infrastructure yourself.
