2026 Lifetime Achievement Award Nomination
A lifetime achievement award in the counseling professional honors an individual whose long-term career has made significant, sustained contributions to the counseling profession and/or the mental health field through practice, leadership, scholarship, and service, leaving a lasting positive impact on clients, counselors, and the broader community.
Qualifications:
- The nominee has demonstrated a long history (typically decades) of exemplary mental health practice, leadership, and ethical conduct, consistently upholding and modeling the highest professional standards.
- The nominee has made substantial, sustained contributions to the mental health and/or counseling profession through one or more of the following: professional leadership, program or policy development, scholarship, advocacy, or innovation that has influenced practice or training on a regional, national, or international level.
- The nominee is widely recognized by peers and mentees as a transformative influence, having significantly impacted the development of other counselors through mentorship, teaching, supervision, or professional support across the span of their career.
